Every night before I go to bed I wash my face, and then apply serum and sometimes a cream. Since I still have young and health skin wrinkle creams aren't quite on my list, and from where I am it seems like that's most night time creams are primarily anti-aging products. Of course this makes it a little less motivating for me to apply creams at night, thinking my serums are doing plenty for me, even if I can feel that my face isn't moisturized enough. So when the people at Derma E offered to send me their hydrating night cream I had high hopes that maybe this would get me in the groove.
So not that long ago I reviewed the Derma E Hydrating Day Cream (I actually received them at the same time), and liked it quite well. One thing you might notice though is that although the products seem like they should be complementary the packaging is totally different, which is true, because Derma E is doing all new packaging with the same great products. This means a white box with blue accents and black font. Inside is the circular clear glass bottle with a white plastic twist off lid. I'm impressed that it's two ounces which is a lot more than other night creams, although I'm a bit torn over if I like that it has hyaluronic acid. On the one hand I love that it's included, but since I get it from serums it's a little unneeded and I'm afraid of over doing a good thing.
Verdict: I'm loving this Derma E Hydrating Night Cream. It has a great scent, and comes in white two things that I love when it comes to skincare, more important though is how it works. For a night cream it isn't as heavy as I expected, and it doesn't have an oily feeling although it does leave a little bit of residue behind, it doesn't clog pores. As for moisturizing it's great, but like any hyaluronic acid product you have to start with using it every third day and work your way up to every day or else you skin will dry out. This Derma E Hydrating Night Cream costs about $25.
