Since I've finished up my spring semester classes, while it may not technically be summer, it feels a whole lot like it to me. So I've decided that I might as well start doing summer themed outfits. First on my list is making a summer staple, high waisted shorts, into a chic and classy summer outfit. I've previously done a guide on wearing high waisted shorts as well as featured them in my Coachella inspired outfit but for this look I wanted something that would ooze feminine and class to give a perfect chic summer look.
Top - I love crop tops but lately I've been seeing them getting more and more skimpy. While that can be fun for some looks it obviously didn't fit in this one. I instead went with this very structured and longer crop top. The dark floral add interest without being too busy.
Shorts - What this outfit is mostly about, the shorts. While these are high waited shorts they aren't extremely high they totally fit into the category. The dark color and cuffed finish make them fit well.
Bag - With a summer outfit, you don't want to have a large bag. I love this Nordstrom cross-body bag just for that. The light color is so much more fun than black and the gold hardware is perfect for a warm summer outfit.
Shoes - I've been loving gladiator shoes that have been on the runways and at high fashion events but for a chic summer look they aren't completely wearable. The sandals I put in this chic high waisted outfit are greatly inspired by the trend but still very summer and comfortable.
