Book Review: Chase Away Cancer

Chase Away Cancer
A Powerful True Story of Finding Light in a Dark Diagnosis
by Ellie Poole Ewoldt

Ellie Poole Ewoldt debuts with a memoir of desperate hope and fierce love; of a family who refused to give up even when they heard the worst possible news for their two-year-old son, Chase. Moment by moment, the Ewoldts faced brain surgery and chemo, spinal taps and transfusions. And yet, the true miracle lay not in the medicine or Chase’s prognosis―rather, Chase’s life shows us the miracle of hope, even through the darkest nights. If there is anything he and the Ewoldts have learned, it is that God is always good and will stay at your side through every moment, no matter what it holds.

You’ll fall in love with Chase through his story and be inspired to help chase away cancer―for this headstrong boy, his fighting friends, and all those in your own life who need hope for whatever tomorrow may bring.

What if the Answer is Both? Chase Away Cancer is a true story written straight from a mother's heart. It's a memoir of desperate hope and fierce love; of a family who refused to give up even in the darkest of nights; and of the faith that carries them through it all, moment by moment.

* I received this book from the publisher but all opinions are my own.

Verdict: When I signed up for this book I didn't know what to expect from it. I ended up loving it though.  It goes through one person's struggle with cancer. Not their own cancer but that of their child and how as a family they fought it. This book is uplifting and motivational for anyone that is facing illness in their family. It can also be a great read for anyone wanting to have compassion for others.
