Outfit: Green Sequin Skirt on Black

So not only was it extremely windy (as you might be able to tell by my hair) but it was also really cold when I took these photos. But since it's been awhile since I've done any personal outfit pictures I decided it that I had to go out and take a few pictures.  While I wouldn't normally do something like a garage door I really wanted a grey scale to contrast with the fancy skirt that I was given. This particular outfit is great for a modest going out look especially with the girls and perfect for this winter. It's fun and looks great but isn't going to get all that unwanted attention things like my Black Cutout Dress does. Also! I hope you don't mind but I did this look makeup free.

Top - I've had this particular black top for quite awhile and I thought it'd be perfect to pair with this skirt. While it might seem plain, it is more than it looks at first glance. The back has a big chunky zipper and has some sheer pieces.

Skirt - When I first saw this green sequin skirt, I thought it would be a piece that only works for St. Patricks Day but once it arrived I saw it has a ton of potential. Wearing it with a shirt tucked in or loose, and even with a crop top this skirt is great.  The material is high quality and with a sewn in slip you won't have to worry about the sequins bothering your skin. One note of caution before you buy is to size up, because the fabric doesn't stretch at all.

Shoes - Last but not least (although the skirt is totally my favorite part of this outfit) are the shoes. Since they have a little platform they're incredibly comfortable to wear, and I love the heel height. The perforated leather keeps them from being too much with such a large top.

  1. Great post! I really like your outfit. Skirt gives the 'boom' look :)

  2. That's a surprisingly good combo. :)

    1. I didn't expect to love the skirt as much as I do!

  3. This combination of color is really perfect. Beautiful choice for boots too.
