Review: Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil Melted Carmel Flame

Although I have used eyeliner on a pretty regular basis for more done makeup, for things like dates and promotional modeling gigs, I had never before heard of Shadow Pencil. Had it not have been used on my, I don't think it's something I would have ever used so I figure I can share my thoughts on it and a swatch.

So this Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil comes in a tube that looks very similar to a lot of eyeliners I've used. The bottom has the Melted Carmel Flame color 350 on it as does the pull off cap. The middle is a black wood with the Covergirl name on it. Because this is a pencil, finding a sharpener to work with it is a little hard.

Verdict: This Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil is made to be a combination of an eyeshadow and a pencil and can be used for either. I think its a great idea for more complicated shadow looks that you might want to achieve, but I just wish it were more opaque. I mean the golden color of Melted Carmel Flame is gorgeous as you can see in the swatch (next to Covergirl Ink It eyeliner)  but it just doesn't show up as well as I'd like against my skin. On the plus side wear time isn't bad and it doesn't smudge.
