Outfit: 4th of July Americana

 Tank / Belt c/o JeltBelt / Shorts / Shoes (similar) / Watch c/o Avro

It's almost the Fourth of July and I couldn't be happier. Although I literally JUST started back to school for the second summer session, I can't wait to have this Friday off. My week has been full of horrible homework, long lectures and a quiz that had me very stressed. So of course I'm excited for a bit of a break with campfires, fireworks and of course cookouts. And maybe if I HAVE to some time spent with family. So before I go off to start my mini vacation, I figured I could share with you guys my very American summer look, especially for the Fourth of July.
Tank - For my top, I wanted something simple and cool. When I saw this lace trimmed piece at Nordstrom I had to have it, especially at such a good price. It's a bit like a modest crop top. Just remember the strapless bra.

Belt - Back when I was one of the models for Derek Warburton's Summer Hot List he was featuring this retro style, red white & blue belt and I was in love. Although I didn't get to wear it as a part of my outfit the Jelt (thanks to Derek) was nice enough to send me one to have as a part of an outfit.

Let me tell you as nice as this beauty looks, its all the better because it's so functional. It fits multiple sizes thanks to it's elastic material (no bothersome holes to worry about + it's 100% recycled) and the buckle has a unique fasten and because there isn't any metal you're safe going through metal detectors. Lets just take a second and look at my new favorite belt...

Shorts - Alright. Now about these shorts. I've done guides on wearing high waisted shorts so I figured it was about time to sport a pair myself. I specifically went with a medium rinse pair, and cuffed the bottoms to keep them from looking too old fashioned.

Shoes - Since this is an outfit for The Fourth of July of course I have to overdo the who Americana thing just a bit. These shoes do that, but in a fun way. The style, a basic lace up sneaker is pretty american in itself.

Watch - To "class up" my outfit just a little I added in this Arvo watch I was given. I love the thick leather band, and the big face.
