With half a foot of snow on the ground it still looks like winter, but spring is just around the corner which means it's time to pull out spring trends. The staple print, is of course a floral print (although I totally love leopard print outfits too) so I decided to put together a spring date night look featuring a floral print. Since it is a darker print, mostly black, I added a little red and pink to make it younger and a little more vibrant. And to keep it from being too formal.
- Dress - When I saw this dress, with a full high waisted print skirt and black gathered top I immediately thought it'd be perfect for a casual night time date (for a fancy date instead of a print I'd go with this bow dress and petal clutch outfit). The key hole in the back adds some detail and the big print keeps the whole look fresh.
- Nail Polish - I'm not much of a makeup girl so instead of wearing fun eyeliner and shadow colors I tend to go with a vivid nail polish. This sweet pink pulls out the flowers in the dress without being too matchy.
- Clutch - This is one of those splurge pieces, but with all of the soft fabrics going on I though there needed to be a shiny bright red to keep the look from being too sweet. Personality, and a lot less hassle than a large bag.
- Shoes - Of course for the shoes I added a pair of heels, which is a necessity for any date, unless your date happens to be shorter than you. The skinny strap will elongate legs, and with their minimalist design you'll look uber delicate.
