Book Review: The Bachelor

The Bachelor
Plain City Peace Book Two
By Stephanie Reed

Bestie Troyer is back home in her Amish community where she knows she belongs. Free from the confusing Englisher way of life Betsie and Charley Yoder have made promises to each other, and her life is back on track - until she agrees to do a favor for the Englisher family she used to board with. Now the outside world is again threatening her peace and rebellious Michael is turning her dreams upside down. Thankfully, Charley is safe and reliable - or is he? Deciding between the two men who influence her thinking will define Betsie and set the course for the rest of her life. Will God make the right choice clear? Set against the backdrop of the turbulent 1970's The Bachelor is the compelling sequel to The Bargain book one in the Plain City Peace Series.

Stephanie Reed lives on the outskirts of Plain City Ohio site of a  once thriving Amish community. She gleans ideas for her novels from signs glimpsed along the byways of Ohio as she did for her previous books, Across the Wide Rive and The Light Across the River.

Reviewing A Matter of Heart I was just talking about how much I loved Amish romances. I love that this book is taking place in the 1970's and all the inner struggles the main character Bestie has. I didn't have any trouble reading this book without reading the first one and throughly enjoyed it. If you liked An Amish Garden I think you will too!
