Review: Cherry Blossom Japanese Konjac Sponge

I've been trying to make the transition to more chemical free face products, because to be honest it probably isn't the best thing for skin. I have to say though that most of these "all natural" products aren't very appealing. Ugly inside and out, so I was pleasantly surprised to find out about the Cherry Blossom Japanese Konjac Sponge, which is very pretty, and all natural.

Starting with the packaging these sponges come in a themed, based on their color of course, box each with a window so you see the sponge inside. The box is  a light pink with cherry tree stems with the famous cherry blossom on them. There is a lot of information. The sponge itself is a light pink and is very hard but light. It has a hole drilled through it were a string it. Both the packaging and the sponge are completely disposable.

To use rinse and soak the sponge until it softens and expands. Gently massage your face with the sponge in circular motion. Rinse the sponge after use and drain it out.  For me it took a little while to get it soak enough water to be soft I added a little of my favorite cleaner with it and it made it lather very well. The Konjac sponge was very soft on my skin and actually exfoliated a little.

Verdict: The Japanse Konjac Sponge is much better than using your typical wash cloth to wash  your face. It lathers well and exfoliates. It's a cute color and actually feels good to use on the skin. I love that its biodegradable.
