Outfit: Pencil Skirt Trend Collaboration

Pencil skirts are my favorite go to go to piece when I want to look put together. They're easy to put on, easy to put together an outfit with and they make even a scrawny girl like me look like I have curves. For this trend I am collaborating with Angela from Pretty in Her Pears who came up with a very different look than mine. At the end of the post you can see a preview of her outfit.  For my look I went with a skirt from my birthday presents, and a black lace top to create an edgy look. Of course to finish it off I had to add my favorite pair of high heel boots.
  • Skirt  - I've talked about my love for BCBG before, but every time they have a sale (or Nordstrom has a markdown) I absolutely have to get their dresses and skirts. This specific blue and black stripe one was half off, and although it isn't in stores anymore I found an equally cute one.
  • Boots - Normally I think of Uggs being those sheepskin boots, but I bought this pair of leather booties by UGG Australia and wear them for so many of my dressy outfits.
  • Tank - Because the shirt I'm wearing has a wide sleeve and I didn't want to do that whole side boob thing, I decided to wear a bright blue tank to match the lighter blue in my skirt.
  • Shirt - Last the shirt. I couldn't decided if I should tuck it in or leave it untucked, and the more I look at these pictures the more I wish I had tucked it in! I guess following the advice of those around you isn't always a good idea.
