GiveForward - You really can help others

So many times there is a story in the news, online, in print or on television, that is tragic. You think "Oh, how sad" and then go on about your day not thinking about it again because there was nothing you could do to help anyways. But as it turns out, many times there is something you can do, Thanks to GiveForward, the world's #1 medical fundraising site. You can donate money through the site, GiveForward has some of the lowest fees in the business, and on average 99.5% of all money raised will go to the individual.

I remember the story of Lacey Holsworth, the eight year old girl who in December of 2011 was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a form of cancer that originates in the nerves.  While in the hospital the Michigan State basketball team came to visit and Lacey met Adreian Payne and their friendship made national news. One man was especially touched by their story and made a GiveForward campaign that ended up raising over $100,000 for her family's medical expenses. Those people didn't just stand back and say how said the story was, they tried to do something to help.

There are many stories like Lacey's on GiveForward, where you can help families with medical bills, housing and transportation needs. See their stories and donate here

Lets say you are one of those people that need help. You shouldn't be afraid to ask for it. Your friends and family, even strangers can and will help you, they just need to know that you need help. I think most people are under the assumption that unless you ask that you don't need help, and GiveForward makes it easy to do this without pressuring anyone into helping you because there isn't any shame in needing help. Setting up a fundraiser is easy. Simply put in your name (or whoever the fundraiser is for) and what the money raised will be going towards, and set a goal of how much you want to raise. Make a few team members and watch people's generosity shine through.

I'll end with this,  GiveForward has raised over $100 million, and you can be a part of that, either on the receiving end or the giving end. If you really like the program you should consider joining their ambassador program HERE this is for people that have the same core values as those at GiveForward, and if you join they will give the first donation to you're loved one's fundraiser. It's also a way to stay up to date with the latest things going on at GiveForward.
