Review: Cantu Coconut Curling Cream

natural hair shea butter cream
Although Cantu shea butter natural hair coconut curling cream which is supposed to moisturize define and conditioner dry damaged hair, is marketed toward people of african descent I decided I should give it a try. I have naturally kinky hair and have had luck with other similar products like dark and lovely hair serum as well as dark and lovely Au Naturale and lately my hair has been especially bad, so I thought it would be a perfect time to try the cantu coconut curling cream with shea butter and do a review.

Since this is a sample I can't say too much about the packaging but they did include a nifty product picture with my sample so I do know a little bit. It has a twist off lid that opens up to the product and you have to scoop it out, not my favorite design ever. I like that it has all the information, like that it includes shea butter and coconut as well as that it's a curling cream for natural hair.

This Cantu hair product smells like a tropical beach and I love it. The coconut smells very authentic. It's a pure white and thick, about as thick as the Nivea Creme Lotion it says to add into wet hair but I found this makes my hair clump together a little bit, and I prefer applying it to dry hair.

Overall I think the Cantu Shea Butter and Coconut curling cream is fine. It smells wonderful, but it's a little thick for me, and only works as a touch up sort of cream. Instead I'd use Carol's Daughter Monoi
