My Skincare Routine

How I take Care of my Skin

Being a girl skincare is very important to me, actually I think its pretty important to some of the boys I know so maybe having nice skin is a more of a human thing. Anyways, since I'm naturally prone to getting both blackheads and acne I figured I could do a post on how I keep both away, and my skin looking clean and clear, even without makeup on. This isn't a what I do daily sort of skincare routine, but instead a look at what I use throughout the week. I'm not only trying to keep my skin clean and free of blemishes, but also keep from getting wrinkles, and make it look healthy.

  • Clean & Clear Black Head Eraser Scrub - I absolutely love this blackhead eraser scrub. To use it I wet my face lather it on, and then use the Olay Fresh Effects Cleansing Brush which vibrates to scrub it around my face. As it does this it picks up all the little beads so I don't have to worry about getting them off another way. After I'm done I finish rinsing off my face with water, and its  amazing how clean my pores look (even those on my nose that get blackheads very bad). Since it is a little harsh on my skin I only use it once a week.
  • Olay Regenerist Cream Cleanser - On the days that I'm not using the Blackhead eraser scrub, I use the Olay Regenerist cream cleaner. Instead of on my skin with all my other skincare products I keep it in the shower, and use it nightly when I take one.
  • Philosophy Hope in a Jar - Every night after I take a shower and dry my face, I use hope in a jar as my night time lotion. I've considered using an anti wrinkle cream, but all the ones I've tried seem a little harsh for daily use. As Philosophy it is a little expensive, but it makes my skin feel so nice.
  • Garnier Moisture Rescue Lotion - In the mornings, I never leave the house without applying this Garnier lotion. When I wore foundation it didn't quite sit right but, since I go barefaced to school now it is just fine. The big reason I use it is that SPF 15 to keep me from getting sun damage.
