Review: Schick Hydro Silk Razor

razor in box drugstore
Razor's must be the in thing right now because right after I finished reviewing Venus Embrace Razor, I received this Schick Hydro Silk razor to try out. It came in a kit just like the last one, which must also be a thing, and I have to admit I wasn't really expecting it. I mean sure it says on the box that you'll be getting all of these things, but its in really small print. Everything that came with the Schick Hydro Silk Razor isn't the only impressive thing, because I really do lie this razor.

Starting with the packaging is the box that Hydro Silk sensitive care razor came in. It looks like a lot of other drug store kind of self care products, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I mean it says everything that you will need to know, and its not like you're going to be using the box for display in your bathroom.  Inside that box is three razors, one already attached to the handle and two in packaging, as well as a cover. I would have never thought of a cover, and I think its fantastic. Especially if you travel or have young children. I mean it snaps on and off easily and completely covers the Schick blade
everything that came in the kit
The handle of the razor is an aqua blue color, and made out of a rubbery silicone material. On the back that hole that you can clearly see is so that you can put it on a peg in the bathroom. Although one razor blade is already attached I detached it and attached another one to make sure it wasn't hard to get on like the time I had all that trouble with the Bic Soliel Savvy Razor, and I ended up not having any trouble at all, so that's always a plus.

As for how the razor works, I'd say very well.  It doesn't have a cool hydrating bar like the Venus Spa Breeze  so you'll probably need to use some type of shave gel with it, but honestly that's not at all a big deal, I mean I like doing it. You have to use soap to wash up anyways. I do like that this Schick Hydro Silk Razor is hypo allergic and doesn't irritate my skin.

Overall I love the Schick Hydro Silk Razor. It comes with three blades which is great, as well as a super cool cap for your blade, that I would have never thought to add. It shaves well, without irritating my skin and is made specifically for people that have trouble shaving due to allergies.
