Book Review: How to Be Rich

How to be Rich book
How To Be Rich
It's Not What You Have, It's What You Do with What You Have
By Andy Stanley

Ever stood in front of a closet full of clothes trying to find something to wear? Ever traded in a perfectly good car for another… car? Ever killed some time talking on your cell phone while standing in line to get a newer version of the same phone? Ever go shopping just to relax. If you answered yes to any of those questions, you might be rich. No you probably don'g feel rich. Rich is the other guy. Rich is having more than you currently have. But you can be rich and not feel it. And that's the problem. Andy is convinced that most of us are richer than we think we just aren't very good at it. It's one thing to BE rich. Andy wants to help us all be good at it. "How to Be Rich lays out clear principles for carrying that load making sure your wealth remains a blessing not just for you but for your family and community for generations to come"

Andy Stanley is a pastor communicator author and the founder of North Point Ministries (NPM). Each Sunday more than 33,000 people attend NPM's five Atlanta-area churches. Andy's books include Deep & Wide Enemies of the Heart and The Grace of God. Andy and his wife Sandra live in Alpharetta Georgia and have three grown children.

I have to say that I love this book. There is always talk about how there is a big divide between the classes, like Coming Apart but really almost no one in the United States is poor. We all have enough food to eat, somewhere to live, and clothes to wear, schools to go to, even if this is provided by the government we still have it something that a lot of people in developing nations can't say that they have, and this book makes you not only appreciate that but gives you advice on how to help others. Much better than 10 Days Without I think.
