How God Heals the Brokenness of Life
By Kevin Scott

This story recapitulated in every disciple's life - that God heals the brokenness of life. We may be broken but we are ReCreatable. Memorize the five second, forty five second descriptions of each disciple. Study the book with your family, in a small group, within your congregation, or in your neighborhood or community. There is a group discussion guide with thought provoking questions provided. This is a portable message.

This book is about finding healing for life's brokenness and that is precisely what Christ offers. But its important to mention that you don't find Christ's healing in a book. You find his healing most often in a relationship with a person or people who listen and provide careful attention and support. The kind of caring presence that can and should be found in "pockets of the kingdom"

At times though you may beed to find a deeper level of care than a group can provide. You may need to seek out the care of a specially trained layperson, such as Stephen Minister, who can provide on to one care during a particularly difficult time. Some levels and types of brokenness are more complex.

I have to say that I really like this book by Kevin Scott. I'm not sure that I like the fact that he made up a word, Recreatable, to call his book, but it is very good. This can be a great inspiration to anyone going through a hard time, just like the book Redemption except on a much deeper, more spiritual level. This book is honest too. You can't do it all on your own, you do need help, and sometimes a lot of it.

I love the way Kevin Scott writes this book, or guide as I like to think of it. Its so personal I feel like he's simply talking to me, writing advice for me, and I think that's a great thing in a self help kind of book like this. Reading this book will give you a new understanding.
