The Advent of Murder
A Faith Morgan Mystery
By Martha Ockley

"We've found a boy's body by the river, want to to come take a peek?" Faith struggled with her demon curiosity a moment. Ben watched her lose the fight, "Of course you do" Faith Morgan, former policewoman and vicar of Little Worthy visits Oliver Markham's farm in the run up to Christmas. He's to be her Joseph in the church's nativity pageant. Only she discovers the house surrounded by police cars. A body has been found in the local River Itchen.

Despite her best intentions, Faith is drawn into the investigation. There are questions of drugs, teenage rivalries, an unsavoury uncle - and to Faith's sinking heart, a church connection. Ben, her former boyfriend is the police in charge of the case, which does nothing at all for her peace of mind. And the respectable parishioners of Little Worthy have plenty of opinions. Mostly as it turns out to be wrong.

Martha Ockley, author of The Reluctant Detective, lives in the North-East of England. She is a full-time writer of both fiction and non-fiction.

It wasn't just me that read this book, because after looking at it, my mother was so interested that she sat down and started reading. The murder mystery is a great genera and, of course the Advent of Murder did not disappoint. It kept me reeling until the very end. If you like Carolina Reckoning or Undeniably Yours you'll love to read this book.
