Making Pumpkin Bars

ingredients for pumpkin bars
Just a little while ago I made Pumpkin Spice Cookies as a celebration of the up coming fall weather. Since then, I've been doing a ton of different outfit posts all centered around the fall weather like How to Wear a Leather Jacket and even What to Wear in Fall Weather, In case you've been worried my domestic Hanna skills have deteriorated over this time, I'm here to show you these Pumpkin Bars I made from a kit, and although I didn't do it all myself, it is a little harder than your average box recipe.  On a side note, I've gotten a lot of mixed reviews about these Pumpkin bars from my tasters, so I'm not sure I'll make them again.

First up, add the pumpkin mix to a metal mixing bowl. Although it doesn't have any spice smell, it still gives off that hint of fall. Next add two eggs and butter, then mix it up. Although that directions said not to mix it too hard, it really didn't matter in the end. While your mixer is going, you can begin to work on the crust.

The crust should have been simple, but to be honest, I really messed it up. For the first thing, I didn't get a large enough bowl to put the powder in and so when I added the butter it was spilling over. Then with everything mixed together it wasn't moist enough so I added more butter. This went in the oven for five minutes and I poured in the pumpkin mix.

Although it looked really thin, as you can see by the picture it thickened up quite well. Overall I think this Pumpkin bar mix was a little too sweet. I think if instead of adding extra butter I would have added water, maybe it would have been okay.
