Review: John Frieda Sheer Blonde

Everlasting Blond color perserving shampoo and conditioner
If you remember, not that long ago I used John Frieda Foam Hair color to dye my hair blond. Inside the hair box package not only were there the necessary things to dye your hair with as well as the normal mini John Frieda conditioner, but this sample of Everlasting Blonde Colour Preserving Shampoo and Conditioner. I've done a lot of coloring with John Frieda products before, but this was the first time that a sample for shampoo and conditioner has been added, and I have to say I quite like it.

Starting with the Colour preserving Shampoo. Coming out of the package the Sheer Blonde everlasting Blonde Shampoo is a clear color, and mildly thin. Not watery and diluted, but a runny kind of feeling. The smell isn't fruity, or flowery, actually it's just a clean smell, which I was very surprised by. That's not to say it doesn't smell good though, because I loved it. Once in the hair, the everlasting blond shampoo lathers amazingly well, almost as if though it has its own built in lather system like it has its own pouf. A lot goes a long way, and it rinses out well leaving my hair fairly smooth.

Then comes the Colour preserving conditioner. Unlike the shampoo when the Sheer Blonde everlasting Blonde conditioner comes out of its package its white and feels like a soft lotion. A lot is needed for dry hair, but afterwards it make your color treated hair feel soft and smooth. It rinses out well and doesn't leave any residue behind.

Overall I really like John Frieda's Sheer Blond everlasting blond shampoo and conditioner. They have a gender neutral clean smell that is very nice, their products aren't hard on the hair, and they leave my colored blonde hair feeling nice. I only wish I knew why they spell it colour instead of color.
