Almost a Grand Champion Project

Bird Pillow
Remember that wool appliqué bird pillow I made? Well as I said in that blog post, it was going to be entered into the county fair, and it did surprisingly well. Out of all the sewing items (not including clothing) my bird pillow ended up with second place and quite a few ribbons. Considering the amount of entries for my area, I'm very pleased with how it did. I also entered my shirt turned into a pillow, but it only did so so. If you're wondering why I'm now bringing up, how my project did, its because I'm trying to get into the habit of blogging more about my daily life and I had to take this pillow to the state fair today.

I swear that I hate going to the state fair quite a bit. While the county fair is surrounded by a few businesses, the state fair is by busy roads and very low income house (and high crime). Honestly I don't feel safe going there, because one wrong turn and you're into a suspicious neighborhood. Even with my GPS (present from my boyfriend) its nerve wracking.

Turning it in though was easy, and very quick although on the way back I did go out the wrong gate and was forced to drive through some areas I would rather not have. This whole trip to the state fair ended up taking a ton of time out of my day, and when I got home I was forced to do something I really didn't want to...

Study. I've been putting it off all weekend so the rest of today was spent working on it. Oh and tomorrow I have a lot of reading to do, although I'm hoping to do part to of my Masquerade Mask Posts we'll have to see though. After this week is over though, I'm thinking that I'll have a lot of time to do things that I want to do, and a little bit of blogging.
