Review: Essie Cuticle Oil

I've done a few Essie Reviews before like my Essie Penny Talk Review and my review of Essie Miss Fancy Pants. This though is the first time I've tried one of the Essie nail care products. I'm usually not one to go for these nail care products (I don't even use a base coat most of the time) but since I really like Essie I figured I could give it a shot. I'm happy to say that I'm not disappointed with Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil.

This is marketed as the way to get the perfect Essie manicure (or pedicure I think) so here are the directions. 1. Hydrate with apricot cuticle oil, 2. Clean and then prep with base coat or a nail treatment, 3 apply two coats of nail color, 4 seal and shine with an Essie top coat. massage into cuticles twice a day every day to maintain the manicure and pedicure.

First thing I have to say is that I love the apricot smell. It is one of the best smelling products I've used, second only to the Secret Stress Swear Deodorant. The apricot smell isn't overpowering or too sweet, it actually smells very similar to a real apricot.

I have mixed feelings about the packaging. On the one had having it in the same container as an Essie nail lacquer is great because of storage, but on the other hand it makes it a little harder to apply. I found myself dabbing it onto a sponge and then applying to cuticles.

The product itself though I really like. It goes on well and even after just the first use I felt like my cuticles were already feeling nicer. Something that I really need to improve. Its easy to purchase and works well so I would repurchase this.
