What to Wear When Christmas Decorating

I've finally started on my Christmas decorating. Which is funny because a lot of people do their Christmas decorations right after Thanksgiving (and some even earlier). I've seen everyone around with all their lights up and trees in the windows and I'm finally starting on mine. Since I got such a late start I'm going to have to work on it tomorrow morning too. Its too dark now. But I was busy making gingerbread men, which is just as much of a holiday activity as decorating. Since I made this what to wear post at least I seem a little more like a fashion blogger again. I'm hoping to get a tree up in my room (but I'll have to buy it first) and take pictures of the tree in my living room that I might share tomorrow.

  •  Christmas Deer Sweater - $39 Never ever wear a sweater like this. That I feel is a huge rule. But since it is the Holiday season sweaters with reindeer, snowflakes or any other type of holiday theme are perfect. Not to mention that since the sweater is loose fitting you can gain a little weight without it showing.
  • J Brand Supersoft Black - $385 Since the sweater was kind of a slimming trick why not try another, black jeans. It also lets you look a little bit more dressy without having to wear something that doesn't take wear easily. With jeans you can go crawling around the attic like I do with no worries.
  • Victoria Cluster Earrings - $5300 I love Tiffany and Co. I've done a Tiffany and Co haul before and I know that the quality of Tiffany's is amazing. These earring kind of offset the purposeful tacky sweater.
  • Mary Jane Wedge Shoes - $48 I have been looking at a lot of wedge shoes lately as well as shoes with an ankle strap and these are such a good combination of two trends. The oxford red is also really in right now so there is another trend. None of these clash though so it won't look like you're over doing it.
  • Dark Nail polish - An avon nail polish would be perfect in red or black for the holidays. This is the one time of year I stay away from neon colors.
