A review of Cut the Rope Experiments
I've played a version of Cut the Rope before, so I was super exited to see that it was the the free app of the week on iTunes. Since it's in HD its perfect for the iPad especially the new one with retina display (if you've ever tried to play an iPhone game on on an iPad 3 you know how important this is).
Since this game was a free app I figured it would just be a sample with a few different levels to play and then a link to buy the full version, but I was pleasantly proved wrong (although there is an option to buy other games in the series so I am technically half right).
There are six of these "packs" each with 25 levels (I'm assuming the three that I have yet to unlock also have 25 levels) The scoring method is similar to Angry Birds in that if you do super well you get 3 stars, and the worse you are, the fewer you get. Since I'm terrible at playing these types of games I can almost guarantee that I won't ever get the 300 stars needed to play the last level :(
The first level is pretty easy just cut the rope (slide your finger across the screen where the rope is) and the candy will fall into the alien's mouth collecting all the stars.
You can then move onto the next level (there is also a skip button in case you get stuck on a level) or redo it to try and get more stars.
Throughout the game there are little tips that may appear.
The levels do get progressively harder throughout the levels.
Verdict: 5/5
I love this game. Even though I'm not all that fantastic at it, its a great way to spend a few minutes or a few hours when you need to kill time. There isn't anything I would change about the game, its simplicity makes it that much more fun. And even if this hadn't been free I would have bought it.
